First Tee Snohomish County Coaches at the April 19, 2008 Training
The First Tee Snohomish County prioritizes our coach training as the best way to assure our program is of high quality for the students and families we serve.
We value The First Tee Life Skills education equally with golf skill instruction. We want every student to "get the best of both worlds".
Our coaches include PGA and LPGA professionals, First Tee Coaches that have completed or are currently in the 3 year national training program, and Assistant Coaches that receive ongoing training from our First Tee Chapter.
Assistant Coaches also include student mentors that have experienced The First Tee and are being trained to give back by helping younger students.
Every coach is personally interviewed and screened including background checks.
Our trainings are bi-monthly throughout the year, except in summer.
Our chapter actively seeks to train additional volunteer coaches to expand our impact in the community and serve more students.
